Most of us know we should have an exercise routine to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Exercise is an extremely important aspect in living a healthy life and preventing disease. But what many of us don’t know is HOW or WHY it’s good for us and how much is really necessary. Cardiologist, Dr. Robert Brown, has provided his expert recommendations for maintaining cardiovascular health and a balanced lifestyle by adding exercise to your routine.

Dr. Brown’s Recommendations:

We all require 150 minutes per week of moderate aerobic activity. These activities could include: working out, jogging, swimming or even cycling! This adds up to 30-minute of non-stop aerobic activity for 5 days per week, but can be divided into different lengths of time throughout the week to fit your lifestyle!

Some of the many benefits of a program like this include:

1. Reduction of body fat
2. Improved blood sugar condition
3. Improved blood pressure & cholesterol control
4. Improved mood and reduction of anxiety
5. Reduce your risk of heart attack, stroke and even pre mature death
