Katie Rimmelzwaan, R Kin & ReJuv Lead
I’m a Registered Kinesiologist with an Honors Bachelor of Kinesiology from Western University. I’ve completed additional training in hip and knee osteoarthritis (GLA:D Canada), osteoporosis management, soft tissue release techniques, falls prevention strategies, and pre/postnatal exercise training.
For over ten years, I’ve been supporting adults in movement and health, helping people feel capable in their bodies again. I specialize in working with older adults, individuals managing chronic pain, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, balance concerns, and those regaining strength after injury or health setbacks. I believe movement should feel accessible and safe; there is truly something for everyone.
My approach is gentle but purposeful. I meet people where they are and build from there in a way that supports real life, not perfection. I balance an understanding of personal circumstances with empathetic accountability to encourage and support you on your way to your individual goals. I emphasize consistency over intensity because small steps done often make all the difference. I focus on quality of movement, breathing, and tuning into how your body feels over punishing your body or pushing through pain, supporting long-term mobility and independence rather than quick fixes. I also look beyond exercise, incorporating nutrition, mindfulness, stress management, and sleep habits into a comprehensive approach to whole-person health and well-being.
A few things about me:
Laiba Saeed, R Kin
I’m a strength-focused Registered Kinesiologist with a background in personal training, manual therapy, and fascial stretch therapy. I enjoy helping people build strength and move with confidence, especially those managing chronic conditions.
My approach primarily utilizes evidence-based strength training, paired with hands-on techniques to support recovery, mobility, and ease pain. I believe that building strength is one of the most powerful tools we have to improve physical ability and to move pain-free.
Whether you’re new to weight training or looking to optimize your performance, my goal is to help you feel strong, supported, and capable in your body.
A few things about me:
Mariana Hosking, Seniors Fitness Instructor
I have a background in fitness instruction with specialized training in areas like senior fitness, yoga, weight training, Zumba, calisthenics, and aqua fitness. Over the years, I’ve focused on understanding how movement supports longevity, balance, and functional strength, especially for adults looking to stay active and independent at any age. I’ve been teaching and coaching for several years, and what first drew me in was seeing how movement can truly transform and maintain quality of life.
I specialize in working with adults and older adults, helping them build strength, flexibility, and confidence through safe and engaging movement. Whether it’s a high-energy choreography session, gentle yoga stretches, or bodyweight calisthenics routines, I tailor every class or session to meet participants where they are.
My approach is all about empowerment and enjoyment. I want members to leave feeling better than when they came in; more energized, more confident, and more aware of how capable their bodies really are. I often emphasize consistency over intensity, reminding participants that it’s not about doing everything perfectly, it’s about showing up, listening to your body, and celebrating progress at every level. Movement should feel accessible, rewarding, and fun.
A few things about me:
Elaine Fletcher, Seniors Fitness Instructor
I have a Bachelor of Physical Education and Social Anthropology from McMaster University and later completed a Gerontology program to better understand healthy aging. I’ve been a lifelong athlete, playing varsity sports through high school and university, and began my career teaching physical education to K–12 students across Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia.
Returning to Ontario, I became a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor, teaching adults and older adults in private gyms and at the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging. My experience has shown me the importance of movement at every stage of life, and I love helping people build strength, confidence, and enjoyment in their fitness.
I want people to understand that movement is essential; it doesn’t have to be perfect, we just have to keep moving! I want people to feel that they have challenged themselves in class and recognize how capable they really are.
Ros Banks, Seniors Fitness Instructor
I have been a certified Seniors Fitness Instructor through the CCAA for 15 years, as well as a Group Fitness Instructor (ACE) and have completed additional training through Revelation Wellness, Zumba Basic and GOLD, BARRE Above and DrumFit. I have taught seniors fitness across London and surrounding communities as well as Mind-In-Motion programs for the Alzheimers Society. I support older adults across a wide range of fitness levels, focusing on safe progressions in functional strength all while creating an enjoyable, uplifting class environment.
I am passionate about making movement fun and welcoming, never intimidating. I love creating classes where confidence grows, bodies feel better, and we can embrace fun like singing along to the playlist. My goal is simple – you leave with a smile, a little natural “glow” and the feeling that you accomplished more than you thought you could.
A few things about me:
Holly Munro, Yoga Instructor
My yoga journey began as a busy working mom whose body was telling me to slow down, and classes at the Lotus Centre quickly became a priority. After practicing for 10 years, I decided to study to become a yoga teacher. I enjoy sharing yoga with others, with the intention of fostering a connection between mind, body, and spirit.
