Dr. Robert S. Richards obtained his MD from the University of Saskatchewan in 1983. He subsequently completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Alberta, finishing his plastic surgery specialty training in 1990. He completed additional fellowship training in aesthetic surgery in the United States and hand surgery at the University of Toronto and the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Richards joined the attending staff of the Hand and Upper Limb Centre in 1993 and has been in practice continuously in London since that time. His clinical interests include hand and wrist surgery, nerve surgery, tumor surgery, endoscopic hand surgery, and endoscopic aesthetic plastic surgery. He is the Secretary of the Canadian Society for Surgery of the Hand since 2005. Current research interests include outcomes research and hand and wrist fractures.
